Saturday Technology Training Session, February 21st, 2009
This Saturday Technology Training Session will feature Burt Levy from the White Cane and More Store in Silver Spring demonstrating the Moshi Clock and the My Reader 2. http://whitecaneandmore.com/ . OVERVIEW : Create a Video Celebrating Ability Using Assistive Technology:
The Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) (http://www.atia.org/) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2009. As part of the celebrations ATIA is hosting an AT video contest on the popular YouTube web site. ATIA invites you to create a short video that presents an inspiring story about how assistive technology has helped to change the life of an individual with a disability and helped to empower them to change their world.
DATES: The contest is open from February 1 - July 31, 2009.
PRIZES:
Grand Prize - trip to the ATIA 2009 Chicago Conference (October 28-31, 2009) including travel and hotel expenses.
Sub-Category winners receive $400 gift certificate (American Express or Visa).
Runners up receive complimentary registration to ATIA 2009 Chicago or ATIA 2010 Orlando (January 27-30, 2010)
